Leon’s Garden focused on transforming the 1,000 sq ft interior of Leon Gallery into an interior sculpture garden utilizing Beetle Kill Pine Wood, moss, and temples of glass.
These sculptures both tell the tale of loss and of possibilities for the future, bringing awareness to the pine beetle epidemic that has devastated Colorado’s forests.
"Eric Dallimore is an artist with a cause, and his recent sculptural exhibition titled Leon's Garden is a cause worthy of an effect. Eric's skilled use of pine beetle kill as the basis for his design is earthly, sensual and echoes the very nature of his cause... to bring awareness to a largely underestimated environmental issue in Colorado. Eric harmonizes activism with advocacy in evocative and beautiful ways." - Barth Quenzer
